More commonly found in mountainside vacation spots, this midcentury A-Frame house is a rare treat in the Queen City. The original owners hired Charlotte architect Friedrich Schmidt to design their home after discovering his church designs in The Charlotte Observer. The architect’s previous work clearly had some influence on this double-height living space. The main living space is breathtaking thanks to an impressive cathedral ceiling and plenty of natural light. The centerpiece of this room is an original metal fireplace also designed by Schmidt.
